Mom's Blueberry Pie
Slice up a piece of home with this freshly baked favorite.
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 pastry for a 9-inch double pie crust
- 1 tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon and sprinkle over blueberries.
Line pie dish with one pie crust. Pour berry mix in, then cut the remaining pastry into 1/2 inch strips to make a lattice top crust. Crimp and flute the edges together.
Bake on lower shelf of the oven for about 50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
